The Teacher Leaders Network
Description
This site wants to be the Drupal version of what IMPACT II was back in the 90s (though they do not seem to be sponsors). It may be too top heavy to provide the "teacher empowerment" one might wish for ... but it requires more exploration.

The Teacher Leaders Network is not just a website. TLN is a network of active communities of highly accomplished teacher leaders from across the nation, dedicated to student success and the transformation of teaching into a true profession.
For those of you familiar with TLN, you are likely noticing our new look. But the website has not only received a design overhaul. Our new web environment supports a cutting-edge, secure virtual learning platform that combines many functions familiar to users of blogs, wikis, and social network environments. Our difference? The TLN dedicated platform is custom-tailored for daily use as a professional learning environment for educators.
As you are reading this message, the hundreds of expert educators who are the heart of TLN are
- Engaging in daily discussions around practice and policy,
- Collaborating on action research and other projects for improved student learning,
- Sharing their content and pedagogical expertise with pre-service and in-service teachers, and
- Refining their policy insights and contributing their voices to the decisions that affect the students and communities they serve.
We invite you to learn more about this remarkable community. Follow TLN’s extraordinary journey, from its experimental early days to its current status as a thriving virtual learning community that is shaping the very future of teaching and learning.
